Have A Hive® is a not for profit program of T’s Bees that allows individuals and organizations to sponsor beehives and green spaces for the purpose of sustaining our environment, providing education to the community surrounding the green space, formally known as Hive Parks, as well as providing economic stimulus through means of occupational development. A Hive Park is essentially transformed vacant urban property that houses a combination of urban apiculture and urban agriculture. Hive Parks, made possible by Have A Hive®, allow beekeeper associations to host workshops, teach beginner beekeepers, and maintain the colonies on site; the association is then gifted equipment from Have A Hive® for their willingness to help conserve not only the active colony, but the park as well. The urban agriculture sector of this organization is managed by Veterans recovering from PTSD as a means of mental rehabilitation and occupational development. At the end of the year, Have A Hive® also rewards each sponsor with an all natural product, such as honey or beeswax soap, for their contribution.

Our mission at Bee Heroic is to provide an information-to-action platform for initiating practices that will save and protect Earth’s bees, and all of it’s extraordinary pollinators, from near-term extinction. Bee Heroic was established from the necessity of saving the bees and other pollinators from projected extinction. The bee is one of the roughly 900,000 documented species of insects, but scientists estimate there are about 20 million yet to be documented. Bees – wild and domesticated – are part of the Hymenoptera order of insects which includes among them wasps, flies, ants and others that make up cornerstone insects; but we need all insects for healthy eco and food systems; upon which, human health, economies, and lives, depend.  Bee Heroic provides information on both the known and unknown factors impacting our pollinator losses and provides resources on how to take meaningful, concise, and immediate action.

Bee aware. Bee proactive. Bee heroic.

The Mission & Goals of Cascade Girl Organization:

We are an Oregon based non-profit that provides applied environmental science education to increase appreciation for and awareness of Bees and other Pollinators. We therefore…

…Educate people about the agricultural continuum: soil, flowers, pollinators, beekeeping, honey and the value of pollinators and pollination in agriculture

…Encourage individuals and communities to work toward healthy soil, flowers, pollinators and people through modalities of education, research, practice, teaching, celebration and the arts.

…Support small and medium size beekeeping, honey production and agricultural endeavors.

…Enact and teach best practices in beekeeping, honey production and honey sensory analysis.

…Provide integrated education about sustainable practices in regenerative beekeeping and land stewardship.
