Keeping Busy- At home and on-line

March 23, 2020 Posted by Terry Uncategorized

An “news” anchor commented that due to their governor’s request for the residents to stay at home, the anchor was bored this weekend. So much for setting an example to viewers around the country. Eons ago, when my mother told me to go outside and play, it was up to me to keep busy and find activities outside. No internet available back then.

Here are some activities to help keep boredom at bay:

Help out the local health industry (but call ahead to make sure they can utilize your creations) : https://www.joann.com/ also read: https://www.forbes.com/sites/tjmccue/2020/03/20/calling-all-people-who-sew-and-make-you-can-help-solve-2020-n95-type-mask-shortage/

“Visit” The Van Eyck exhibit at the Museum of Fine Arts Ghent. See the artwork before, during and after restoration. http://closertovaneyck.kikirpa.be/

Learn a new skill. Sites such as Bluprint, Joann’s, and Michaels have many free projects available on their websites.

Boredom, hah! Who has time for that?

Terry holds an undergraduate degree in business, along with an MBA specializing in Logistics. She incorporates her business background, leadership skills, and interest in sustainable beekeeping practices to help strengthen the beekeeping community and develop partnerships with other like-minded groups.
